HOME OFFICES FOR HIM AND HER

A little used attic space above a detached garage was converted to twin offices for him/her. Since both owners work primarily from home, they needed office spaces that provided ample of work areas and privacy in close proximity to their home. The attic of the detached garage was insulated and finished. The space was divided into two, with a shared entrance, offices for each of them on the sides and a shared powder room at the back. In both rooms, the old wood floor was retained, it required some repairs and then was refinished; now it gleams and gives an authentic antique look to both office spaces.

His office has cherry red walls, and since he works in the music industry, custom shelves were installed for his extensive CD collection. His room is furnished with antiques and has a relaxing atmosphere – great for work and for listening to music.

Her office and craft room is bright yellow with custom-built barn board cabinets. These cabinets house her supplies and make the room tidy when necessary. A built-in desk with bookshelves houses her computer and paperwork. Light from the windows on three sides of the room make it a very bright and joyful place to work!
